Wolves win First Division league title

Wolves Sports Club climbed their way back to the Digicel Premier Division, when they won the First Division League title during the 2011/12 season.

The Devonshire club who trains at Elliott Primary School, is well supported within their community. Their loyal fans have been waiting patiently for this moment. Wolves last spent time in the Digicel Premier Division, dates back to the 2001/02 season when they won the Dudley Eve Cup and was relegated that same year to the First Division. The ten year drought did wonders for them, for this season they were truly outstanding in the First Division with (51 Points, 16 Wins, 3 Draws, 1 Defeat, 67 Goals For and only conceded 21 Goals Against, goal difference of 46). This was truly an accomplishment for the club, during the 2008/09 season they finished ninth, 2009/10 sixth, 2010/11 fifth and now 2011/12 season first place.

Meanwhile, credit must be given to John Barry Nusum, who led them as their head coach and on the odd occasion he would sign his name either to the starting line up or come on a substitute. This was truly an accomplishment for the club, during the 2008/09 season they finished ninth, 2009/10 season, sixth, 2010/11 season, fifth, and now 2011/12, first place.
