Girls Football Developemt camp & Women's Football Coaching Symposium
For the first time ever, Assistant National Senior Men’s coach, Richard Todd will be conducting a “Girls Development Football Camp,” beginning this month at the T.N. Tatem Middle School, in Warwick, from July 14th - 18th.

This is an opportunity to increase the interest and participation levels in football throughout Bermuda amongst young females, aged (5 - 15) years old, with hopes that sustained involvement will occur.

The exposure to the sport of football and opportunity provided for participation will result in the identification of and strong interest from female players to continue involvement in intstructional programs, which will be aimed at the developement of individual players, formation of teams and creation of festivals, play dated and leagues.

The desired result is a full range of viable and productive gender specific leagues, U17-U19, for the female player in the near future, that will serve as feeder programs for the adult Women’s leagues and Women’s Nartional player pools.
The benefits of participation by females in football wil have a positive impact on the overall fitness level, awareness of healthy life styles, levels of selff-esteem and slef-motivation, and educational opportunities for women and girls in Bermuda.

The (5) day camp will be assisted by Sam Okpodu, Nigerian’s Women’s Head Coach, who represented them in the 2003 World Cup and Andrew Bascome, Coaching Director of Bascome F.C.
Registration forms available from the Bermuda Football Association, participation sponsors, schools and football clubs.
