Hailing from both Canadian and United Kingdom origins,Michael Findlay has carved an impressive path in the world of football, markedby his dedication to elevating the sport's standards and nurturing emergingtalent. His extensive coaching journey includes significant milestones:
Grenada Men’s National Team Program: Head Coach and Manager of FootballDevelopment. Including the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2021.
FIFA Technical Consultant: Findlay's invaluable insights were sought by FIFA's Development Department, where he provided technical consulting to member associations.
Canadian Premier League: As the Director of FootballDevelopment, Findlay played an integral role in the Canadian Premier League's mission to enhance domestic football talent.
Canadian Soccer Association: Serving as Head Coach, Assistant Coach, U23 Head Coach, and Youth Teams Head Coach. Assistant Coach during FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaigns, including Qatar 2022 and Russia 2018.
The selection process for the new Senior Men'sNational Team Head Coach was meticulous and thorough, with over 70 applicants with varying backgrounds and qualifications. The BFA firmly believes thatMichael Findlay's appointment marks a new era for the team, defined by innovation, strategic brilliance, and a dedication to nurturing emerging soccer talent.
