The Bermuda Football Association Women's Committee has partnered with Footy Promotions to host the Keeping Girls in Sport Online course which is powered by the Respect Group and made available to residents of Bermuda.
This course is aimed to further educate and empower all leaders, coaches, parents, teachers, and athletes working with girls from all sporting bodies in Bermuda by offering a dynamic training program to keep girls in sports. This course will assist with creating a safe, inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for girls to unleash their full potential. Whether you are a coach, teacher, leader, parent, administrator, or athlete, we have the responsibility to educate on the needs of girls participating in sports.
Keeping Girls in Sport Online Course will provide valuable information on the difference between coaching girls in comparison to boys, the challenges for equality that female athletes continue to face, injuries that relate to girls, and how the sports environment we create affects a girl's willingness to participate.
“Together we can support girls in Bermuda and keep them involved in sports, said BFA Women’s Committee Chair, Charryse Bean, “With this online course, you will get out what you put into it, so we encourage you to give your full attention to the program, we are confident that you will learn something new and be able to apply this training in your sporting environments.”
