The Senior Men’s National Team, World Cup Qualifier preparations continued over the weekend with two training matches against the Bahamas National Team at the IMG Academy in Florida.
On Friday, March 5th, the SMNT were victorious over the Bahamas with a 3-0 win. Zeiko Lewis scored the first goal of the game with a penalty in the 28th minute, to give Bermuda the lead in the first half. In the second half, Bermuda doubled their lead with a goal from Enrique Russell in the 50th minute, from an assist by Jordan Outerbridge. The final goal was scored late in the second half by Remy Coddington who was substituted on in the 55th minute.

The second training match was played on Sunday, March 7th. After a comfortable 3-0, Bermuda was looking to make it a second win however the match ended goalless.

The SMNT return to Bermuda today and will continue their preparations for their World Cup Qualifiers. Their first match of the Concacaf Group B Qualifiers, will be against Canada on Thursday, March 25th, and will kick off at 8:00 E.T. at the Exploria Stadium in Florida.
